1033 Military Excess Property Program

The 1033 Program enables Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA's) with apprehension and arrest authority to screen and obtain excess property from the Department of Defense (DoD). Any LEA who is certified into this program must agree to hold the U.S. Government harmless, account for property obtained at all times, and dispose of the property in accordance with the policies, rules, and procedures outlined by the Law Enforcement Support Office (LESO).

Screening for equipment available through this program is conducted on-line. Authorized screeners can search the LESO's website for equipment that is available worldwide. The only costs involved with acquiring equipment obtained are pick-up or shipping costs.
